December♥Challenge

Hello again! I can't remember if I have ever been this active here, but I wanted to post my part of our Gyaru Finland December blog challenge! The topic this month was to show your everyday look and your dressed up look!

The one on the left was taken today and the one on the right is from last autumn! I wish I would've had two new pictures but I don't think I have any pictures of me being dressed up that I haven't posted here, haha ^^'

Anyways! I work in an office so it would be okay for me to look as dressed up as I want, we don't have any dress codes or such. But as I am quite a sleepy person I can't be bothered on most mornings :'D I actually decided to take a picture of myself today as a good example although it's actually not completely truthful, since today was a bit of an exception. But it's a good contrast! I didn't do my hair at all, nor did I have any make up. I also didn't wear any jewelry. Usually on work days I curl my hair a bit, put some eyebrow pencil and eyeliner and have some rings or a necklace. Clothes-wise this is pretty much what I always wear. Usually I have skinny jeans, a top and some sort of knit. Color of choice is pink and white, and I like floral pattern~ I do have regular contacts but they sometimes start itching so usually I just wear my glasses on most days. I have never had long nails since even my own nails start bugging me if I need to type on the keyboard.

On dressy days I have uncomfortable heels, wig (since I wasn't blessed with nice hair), circle lenses, more makeup than usually with some false lashes, my nicer clothes and so on. I don't have different wardrobes for normal and more fancy days, I try to mix them, but sometimes I feel my normal look is too boring for my prettiest clothes :'D I kind of would want to turn my normal look nicer as well, but at least for now I am too lazy.

I also did some shopping recently! I love snowflakes so I needed to get these earrings! I am not crazy about the black snowflakes though, I think I'll try to paint them pink or something.

Also I got all excited about nails this Sunday since Pin and Ronja both had such nice nails! I just bought these cheap ones from sale, they were actually just 3€ :'D They have their own glue but I heard such horror stories of people removing their nails that were glued on that I decided to get those nail stickers instead so I can only wear them for a day or so! Well, I couldn't find them from Helsinki so I have to order them from online! Can't wait to try them on! *3*

~Last♥Sunday~

Hello everyone! How has the last Sunday of this year treated you?

I went to meet some gyaru friends, it has been a while since we met so I was very excited, even though it was going to be only three of us!

As usual, we went to take some pictures in Kluuvi. It was nice to notice that now it was prohibited to hang out in the top floor if you are under 18. I wouldn't mind, but previously when we have visited there there has been some very rude kids. It's too bad they are ruining it for everyone though, but at least maybe it will be calmer now.

It was so difficult to get a picture where everyone is jumping at the same time :'D

My outfit was very simple and comfortable, since usually I have really uncomfortable shoes and then I get tired of walking really quickly ^^' This time I was wiser!

I managed to lose my rings to Kluuvi, I am a bit bummed since one of them was my favourite which I bought from Kyoto last March! Also one of my favourite glasses got broken, it's actually the second glass in the same design since my roommate broke the first one :'D Maybe I need to order a third one, third time's the charm, right?

Yesterday I also decided to spend some money and bought a new camera!

I didn't have many preferences except that it would be nice if it was white and had some nice effects already in the camera :'D Also it would be a plus if there would be that flippy part so you can see the picture if you're taking one of yourself! I went to Verkkokauppa.com with my boyfriend and just played around with different ones and this was the nicest one~ He was also very pleased since I bought a new mouse, my previous one was a very cute one but didn't suit playing games that well :'D All of the pictures in this post are taken with my new camera, so hopefully the quality of the pictures will be better from now on! : )

I am getting quite excited about my upcoming trip to Tokyo as well, waaah *3* Can't wait to go shopping and meeting some friends over there! Hopefully it won't be boring since I am travelling alone again, maybe I can meet some new people this time around as well! ^^

My Xmas

Argh, I just wrote a long post with my phone and suddenly Blogger just decided to delete everything. Well, here's a brief version.

☆Went to my parents place, took over 8 hours to get there

☆Didn't do much except met relatives and family friends and watched tv

☆Got some nice presents, like money for Steam from my sister, the fluffiest bathrobe from my boyfriend, a carpet from my uncle's lady friend and a jewelry stand from myself!

☆Am on my way home now

How was your holiday season this year?

~Month Away~

Hello everyone~ I just noticed due to Facebook updates that Christmas Eve is only a month away! I haven't even bought any gifts yet, gah! Should probably get to that soon to avoid the annual panic...

Today I went to have some "coffee" with Miinu and Kati. I already wore lenses yesterday so I wanted to let my eyes rest. Also my eyelid got irritated from lashes so I only wore short ones on the outer corners. But at least it wasn't as heavy on my eyes, so that was nice!

Our plan was to go see the Christmas lights being lit on Aleksanterinkatu, but it was so bright (as you can see) when we went there around 3 PM. that we decided to come back later. So we went to a cafe and after that, McDonald's :'D After all the talking we decided to go walk around since it was dark already! The lights looked really pretty and it didn't feel like Finland at all!

Did some grocery shopping and I decided to try to be healthy and eat salad at work! I have also been thinking about starting to go to the gym since we now have one for our company use in the same building I work in... I just need the motivation to start! :'D

Did you celebrate Halloween? In Finland it's not such a big thing yet, I feel like we are missing out ; _ ; But at least this party was awesome, I'm so grateful I got to meet so many nice people again ♥ Now just waiting for someone to start organizing a Christmas event, winkwinkhinthint~ ; D

Turbo♥Sunday

So last Sunday we had decided to meet with some gals! We didn't have any specific plans except look pretty and take some pictures while we're at it! As you can see.

So first we just went to hang out in Tennispalatsi, and after chatting for a while we decided to check if there would be any interesting movies to watch! We ended up in getting tickets for Turbo!

The only 2D show was in another movie theater, which luckily is located near Kluuvi! So off we went to take some pictures in the heavenly light! Seriously though, Finland is getting so friggin' dark, so depressing TTnTT'

Some random guy wanted a picture with us... we should've pulled these faces. I'm pretty conflicted about people taking pictures, it's flattering in a way that someone would think we look interesting enough and then again you feel kind of like a circus freak or something.... . _ .' Ofcourse it's hard to tell the difference with us, as you can see :'D

And finally some proper pictures! I am wearing the wig I showed you in my last post! I'm quite happy how it looks in the pictures, tbh it's not as pretty irl... :'D Oh well, better luck next time I guess!

Wiggity♥Swag

So anyone who is familiar with Pin knows what awesome hair looks like, right? We have met at meetups couple of times now and I was so amazed how huge her hair really is! So I asked a few tips, googled some tutorials and decided to try to tweak one of my wigs.

I was stupid and didn't take a "before" picture, but it was this wig and it was super tangled at the ends!

So, since I didn't really know what to do since the fiber on the wig seemed so rough, I was like What the heck! I had talked with the girls at the last meetup that if the wig is already full of knots ( or, in other words, curly!) it doesn't really matter if there are a few more knots! :'3

In hindsight, I should have had more hair rollers to work with. I had to take quite big strands of hair per roller, so I couldn't roll them all the way to the "scalp".

So what I did next is sink the wig into a hot bucket of water! I turned the water as hot as possible and then let it cool down.

After the water had cooled down I hung my hairy medusa to air dry! I guess it would've taken like 2 days to be completely dry since I had such thick strands and those rollers sucked so much water in. But since I was busy during the week I let it dry like 5 days or so. At least it was ready then, haha! ´3`' 

So this is what the wig looked like after drying and these were my weapons for the task! That hairspray is like one of the cheapest you can find from a regular grocery store, but since Pin recommended it I decided to take her word for it and try it out! It proved to be quite powerful indeed!

Work in progress with the teasing! (Why does my hand look so huge...) It was quite difficult because I rarely tease my own hair, and the fiber was quite slippery. But it got easier with each strand! I still have to learn the correct technique and I will probably make some adjustments later! I got the wig to be fluffier than before but not as fluffy as I wanted it to be!

So, how did it turn out in the end? I have a mess in my bathroom at least. Maybe the wig is not as voluminous at the top as I wanted it to be but at least the curls are fluffy!

So here was the short story of my first wig modification! Sorry for the no-makeup pictures, haven't been able to wear any for a while now since I have some problems with my eyes ; _ ;
